GRAMA - Great Australian Marketing Awards

AANA is proud to announce the launch of the Great Australian Marketing Awards (The GRAMAs) which celebrates Australian marketing contributions to a global landscape in three key areas

  • Great Australian Marketing Talent achieving in a significant role outside Australia
  • Great Australian conceived Products/Services which have achieved major international success
  • Great Australian conceived marketing campaigns which are running overseas

A key pillar of the AANA strategic purpose is to elevate the profession of marketing. As the respected voice for Australian brands, the AANA is proud to present these awards to recognise, celebrate and encourage the vast Australian marketing talent that is contributing to the global marketing landscape.

The inaugural AANA GRAMAs which cast the spotlight on Australian marketing achievements on a global stage will be presented at the Opening Cocktail Party during the AANA & WFA Global Marketer Week in Sydney, 25 March 2014. On this evening, David Droga, Founder and Creative Chairman of Droga 5 – arguably one of Australia’s best ‘marketing’ exports – will join us as our special guest speaker.


The
Judges

The jury panel will be comprised of the AANA Board which includes representation from Telstra, McDonalds, Lion, Toyota, Suncorp Group, Kellogg‘s, Nestlé, Mondelēz, Starcom MediaVest Group and the STW Group, Stephan Loerke MD of The World Federation of Advertisers, and will be Chaired by Nigel Marsh Chairman of The Leading Edge.

Entry criteria by Award are listed below. Entry forms can be downloaded below and should be emailed back to the AANA. Note, all entries need to be authorised by the person and the company being nominated. Any enquiries about the Awards or the criteria should be forwarded to grama@aana.com.au

  • Nominee must be an Australian citizen
  • Nominee must have started their career in Australia
  • Nominee must be currently working overseas and have been working in the current role for at least 12 months
  • Nominee and Employer must authorise this entry
  • Written entry must not exceed 600 words

  • Product/Service must have been conceived in Australia
  • Product/Service must have been distributed overseas in at least one market for at least one year
  • Product/Service must still be on sale
  • Product/Service does not have to be manufactured in Australia
  • Written submissions must not exceed 600 words
  • Representative of Company that owns the Nominated Product/Service must authorise the entry form
  • Written entry must not exceed 600 words

  • Communication Idea must have been conceived in Australia
  • The Communications Idea (not necessarily same execution) must have been exported to or picked up and run by another country
  • The Communications Idea must not be a provenance brand, i.e. a Tourism campaign

  • Representative of Company that created the Communications Idea must authorise the entry form
