Monitoring Company Compliance
Complaints
This Initiative is supported by an independent public complaints process administered by the Advertising Standards Bureau (ASB).
A complaint may be made in relation to the ‘Core Principles’ of the Initiative.
Companies, in signing up to the Initiative, also agree to abide by:
• AANA Code of Ethics
• AANA Code for Advertising & Marketing Communications to Children
• AANA Food & Beverages Advertising & Marketing Communications Code
The complaints process for the Initiative follows similar guidelines to those for the AANA codes administered by the ASB:
• All complaints must be submitted in writing to the ASB – including online at www.adstandards.com.au
• Complaints about different ads must be submitted separately and must include sufficient details to allow for identification of the ad in question.
Independent Review
An independent third party will monitor participating company compliance for a period of 12 months from the commencement of the Initiative and produce a publicly available report of its findings.
