The AANA Board has three main Committees covering areas of member interest and concern.

Advertising & Marketing Communications Practice Sub-Committee

This committee is focused on continuous improvement of advertising and marketing communications practice.

It its primary concerns for 2008/09 are two major reviews:

The committee is intending to complete its review of best practice guidelines within 2008/09, and is committed to development of the established Young Marketer of the Year Award as an incentive to recent recruits to the advertising and marketing profession.

Commercial Interests Sub-Committee

The charter of this committee is to assist improvements in the efficiency of marketing communication expenditure.

It is recognised that this efficiency may be achieved through:

The committee seeks to identify issues of core relevance to the broad membership base with a view to providing short/medium or long term strategies to address them.

Political/Ethical Sub-Committee

This committee oversees AANA dealings with Federal and State Governments and their agencies.

As well as managing the association’s submissions on political issues, the committee is also responsible for ongoing development of the self-regulatory regime originated by the AANA and now administered through the Advertising Standards Bureau and Board.
