In a further commitment to its members AANA today launched AdWatch - a one-stop web portal that provides real case histories that illustrate evolving community standards, particularly around the portrayal of people, language, sex and nudity, violence and health and safety in Australian advertising.

Advertisers say a Queensland government review of outdoor advertising at the behest of a Christian lobby group is costly, duplicative and heavy-handed.
Acting CEO of the Australian Association of National Advertisers (AANA), Alina Bain, has questioned the need for a review after a federal government review in 2010-11.
"That inquiry really covered all the issues that the Australian Christian Lobby has raised," she told AAP.
"It does seem quite duplicative to me."
